Crankcase measuring case for DEUTZ engine type TTCD 6.1
Crankcase measuring case for DEUTZ engine type TTCD 6.1
DESCRIPTION
- During fuel combustion, “blow-by gases” are created in the engine and are directed into the crankcase.
- These "blow-by gases" consist of an unburned (usually gaseous) fuel and oil-air mixture.
- These two mixtures are fed into the crankcase (usually via a separator).
- With a new engine, the leaks between the combustion chamber and the crankcase are very small.
- During the operating time/running time, wear occurs and the crankcase pressure increases.
- The older the engine, the more frequently the internal pressure in the crankshaft housing must be measured.
- Fuels and engine oils that do not comply with EN standards or manufacturer specifications can also lead to the error patterns described.
- Increased pressure in the crankshaft housing indicates various causes of errors:
- Dirt in the crankcase ventilation
- Wear of the cylinder-piston groups
- Messages in the error memory
- Coked piston rings
- leaky valves
- Engine stalls when idling
- Engine jerks when idling
- With KGD02 The crankcase pressure can be measured precisely in "mm Ws" (millimeters of water column) and can be compared with the manufacturer's service literature.
- Many different hose levels are required, especially for diagnosing many engines that are installed in commercial, agricultural or construction vehicles.
- All of these different hose levels/glass U-tubes can be replaced by a measuring device, the KGD 02.
