Autotestgeräte Leitenberger offers a specially developed set of nine test cylinders for the precise adjustment of rear view camera systems. These test cylinders meet the requirements of UN ECE R158 , which is mandatory for the safe use of reversing assistance systems in buses and commercial vehicles.

After every installation, repair, or replacement of rear view camera systems, precise adjustment is necessary to ensure the best possible close-up view. Our test cylinders are robust, easy to position, and allow for precise compliance with the defined field of view according to paragraph 15.2 of UN ECE R158.

Furthermore, the test cylinders are suitable for use in extended testing procedures, as specified by the "Regulations for Testing Equipment for 360° All-Round Visibility (SVS Regulation Testing Equipment)." Among other things, they enable the "GSR Custer B-spliced image visibility test," which is used to evaluate the visibility quality of camera systems.

The test cylinders also provide valuable services in system calibration and functional testing in connection with the “Rear Pedestrian Safety Device” , which is intended to ensure even better detection of people in the reversing area in the future.

Main features:

  • Dimensions according to UN ECE R158 : Each test cylinder meets the required dimensions of 0.8 m height and 0.3 m diameter to enable clear and uniform recording.
  • Fields of view in all rows : The test cylinders meet the requirements for all three rows of field of view testing, including the required view of test objects in the front and rear areas.
  • Easy handling and space-saving design : The test cylinders are stackable and are ideal for mobile use directly on site.

Autotestgeräte Leitenberger supports workshops and service companies in ensuring the safety of reversing assistance systems in accordance with UN ECE R158 – with a test system that meets the international requirements of modern driver assistance systems.
