The UNI wheel gripper and joint play tester is a professional workshop tool for loosening stuck wheels and precisely testing joint connections on the wheel suspension. It is suitable for cars, SUVs, and vans with a wheel diameter of approximately 550 to 800 mm .

Thanks to the play-free fixation on the wheel, the tool can be used both as a powerful wheel gripper and as a sensitive joint play tester.

Precise mechanics for reliable diagnosis

The wheel gripper is clamped directly onto the wheel and, thanks to its long lever arm, allows for very sensitive movement . Even minor damage to ball joints, bearings, bushings, and other components of the wheel suspension can thus be reliably detected.

The tool is largely maintenance-free. With frequent use, occasional re-greasing of the spindle may be necessary to maintain smooth operation.

Loosen wheels & check joint play – safely & controlled

The wheel gripper and joint play tester enables the targeted testing of tie rod ends, ball joints, and other components of the wheel suspension. For testing tie rod ends, the steering should be locked. When testing ball joints, the vehicle must be on a low-friction surface, such as the wheel alignment wheel alignment plates.

This test does not replace the additionally required visual inspection of the wheel suspension.
